After recovering evidence from a loss site, there is typically an examination of any recovered evidence in a laboratory setting. There are many tools available to assist in an accurate assessment of the evidence. These include detailed physical examination with use of a Microscope, Photography, X-ray Photography and Scanning Electron Microscopy. The goal is to glean as much information from the evidence as possible as it relates to the case at hand.
